i went grocery shopping today but probably won't eat my food. i have 2 tests next week. so not looking forward to them. i'm really out of it right now. school, work extracirriculars...just trying to stay afloat. |

I made it home!!!! This day has been up and down. when i was going to leave work, i realized that i didn't have my cell phone. i checked at work then i went to subway and star bucks, but no luck. i checked again at work at the pharmacy and at the front office but still now luck. i went to my car after telling my mom to cancel my phone services and found my dead, life less phone in my car. so i drove home. then when i got home i got 2 pieces of the same mail about my health insurance so i responded to that. then sam called me about going out. i decided to since i was going to call her and genn so my parents drove me to penn ave. on the way on conn ave there was a lot of traffic. the paramedics were fitting a cord down the elevator so i figured there was something with the elevator. turns out there were people stuck in the elevator. by 6 something i got to the bar where i soon met sam and steve. we had at least 5 drinks a piece plus food. i got wasted needlessly to say and was speaking gibberish. then we went to a bar in bethesda where i downed three waters and peed twice. i thought i could make it home but i called my mom and she got me in my car so i quickly sped home not telling her how much i had to drink. oh well. i was so happy that i got to pee. good night. |

today i went to baltimore for the first time by myself. it was new student orientation day. i met a girl erin who i had been facebooking and i saw another erin that i graduated with. this was so informative. i found out that i am now getting a dell instead of a thinkpad (so much cheaper!) and that i have to get a parking permit that is $5.00 intially and then i can get 4x40 day vouchers for 160 dollars for 160 days. i could get alternative parking for $33 a month. i'm so excited. also, classes meet at different times each week with is so weird cuz classes don't meet for the whole semester but for 6-8 weeks and then you start another class. i found a place i like in baltimore that's like $600/month. it's about 15-20 minutes from campus, but i don't mind compared to the hour commute from rockville. anyway, i will continue later... |

I actually found an apartment in baltimore. $560 a month with basic cable. which is good cuz that means i can get comcast internet for 42.95 a month. that price sucks but whatever. and the neighborhood looks nice. anyway, i have a wishlist on walmart.com under my name: ashley bivins (hint, hint :)...) |

happy cinco de mayo. what a day. i drove for about a day and a half with a completely flat tire and did not realize it. i almost got stranded at amaco but mary came and my car was fixed by 8:30. i'm glad i didn't go to cvs today(dc). i drove to sears down the street and got two new back tires. i totally ripped my flat to shreds. then my boss pissed me off at work. which i was like 3 hours late for. i quit my job on the spot and went about my day of grading and then proctoring my lab final. so sad cuz my class was so funny. then i went to a free banquet at the chem building and then to art attack. saul williams was off the hook as in crazy. first i saw sold out who covered old school funk which was cool and then jimmy's chicken shack which was funny, i had to deal with b.o. and crowding but it was worth it for Common who came on finally close to 10 pm. now i'm at sam's doped up and drunk from art attack and drinking |

i haven't posted in forever. too busy at work. i really love it at cvs but i tire easily. i can't wait until my jobs at md are done. 2 more labs and than bs til may 19th and then i will be free. yay!!! so excited for pharm school in august. can't wait til i get going with that. my coworkers get me ampped up about pharm school.
that's about it for now since i should be finishing up some work.

where should i start? my bosses ripping me off or my car or the search for furniture? let's start with my car. it has so many issues. i took it for oil and now it has a myriad of other problems like my fluids are dirty and my transmission pan was leaking fluids. Things not covered by warranty are going to be worked on later. Now with the hunt for furniture. i've determined (with the help of theresa) that i don't need a lot of things. i'll probably take a lot of furniture from home with me, like my dresser, bed, bookcase, TV cart, floor lamp, other lamps and so on and so forth. I still need a mirror, some utensils and a table with chairs. oh well. |

so i'm looking for a place to live. i need to know where i'm going to be next year. as of yet i don't know my class schedule because it is not up yet. i found places through SM that are cheap. i want to live in laurel cuz it's halfway between bmore and dc and soem places are quite cheap with a roommate. i saw one place that was like 350 a month. the only thing is that i wont be working as much while i'm at school. i'll be working, but no where near as many hours as i am working now. i might only work 1 or 2 days a week like 10-16 hours. i also need to find a roommate. so if you are interested in moving to laurel or somewhere like that let me know. i could get a loan that covers my living expenses. don't know what to do. i don't know if i want a roommate but no place is cheap for one person. but 2 people would make rent so easy and funner. |

So I have this sickening feeling in my stomach that I get every Friday. I teach on Friday's at 3pm. I got this feeling especially early because I got an angry email about lab grades. I posted them yesterday and am handing back the reports today. This one girl was so pissed. I feel bad but I took off points that I felt she got the questions wrong. I tried to be objective with my grading and to be consistent and maybe there might have been some things that I did not catch, but I don't think I was too harsh. I can't help if the answers a student writes down are wrong. I tried my best to give points where I felt they were deserved. I can't help the fact that she got a question wrong. Oh well. Today's my mom's birthday and that makes me feel a little better. |

i'm tired. i can't wait til may. a lot happens by then. one i'll be starting new job. two i'll be quitting old job. i'm leaving the pharmacy in march and starting at another pharmacy. in may i'll be leaving the stockroom cuz i won't need that job anymore. i'm going to be tired until may because i'll be working two jobs still. my new job is in dc. i start off on wisc for a month or so and then i continue to conn ave (all northwest dc). by the summer this will be my only job. i'll be tired until then as i will be working all day and evening. |
